Republican Mayors Association Elects New Members To Advisory Board

DALLAS, TX — Today, the Republican Mayors Association (RMA) announced the election of two new members to the RMA Advisory Board. The election of Bridgewater, New Jersey Mayor Matthew Moench and Willow Park, Texas Mayor Doyle Moss to the RMA Advisory Board occurred at a meeting of the national board of the RMA on February 23, 2024.

Members of the RMA Advisory Board play an integral role in advancing the priorities of the RMA, including identifying and organizing the ranks of Republican mayors across the country.

“I am thrilled to welcome Mayor Moench and Mayor Moss to the RMA Advisory Board,” said RMA Chairman and President Eric L. Johnson. “Their experiences leading their respective cities in accordance with strong conservative principles will help the RMA develop strategies to better identify, organize, protect, and grow the ranks of Republican mayors all over this great country.”

“It is an honor to have been elected to the RMA Advisory Board,” said Mayor Matthew Moench. “I applaud Mayor Johnson for starting this much-needed organization to provide support to mayors like myself who are committed to the conservative principles that give Americans the best chance to thrive and realize the American dream. I look forward to working with all of the other members of the RMA Advisory Board to see how we can better support our nation’s Republican mayors and grow this critical organization.”

“The RMA presents a unique opportunity for Republican mayors from all over our great nation to come together and support one another as we serve our constituents,” said Mayor Doyle Moss. “I am eager to join the RMA Advisory Board and help Mayor Johnson, Mayor Villalobos, and the rest of the RMA engage with mayors who share a similar commitment to law and order and fiscal conservatism.”

Chaired by McAllen, Texas Mayor Javier Villalobos, the RMA Advisory Board comprises current Republican mayors who will serve a one-year, renewable term.

“Mayor Moench and Mayor Moss are terrific additions to the RMA Advisory Board, and I am excited to work with both of them and the rest of our board to support Republican mayors in every corner of our nation.” said RMA Advisory Board Chairman Javier Villalobos

Mayor Moench and Mayor Moss join previously announced members of the RMA Advisory Board: Ronald Morrell, Jr., Mayor of Marion, Indiana and Erin Stewart, Mayor of New Britain, Connecticut.
